I want to live just for one day, like a tourist in my own city. How could I do? For example, imagining to visit all that places that I visited long time ago, or those locations that I have never seen because I knew they were there and I could have gone whenever I wanted. I miss from Trieste since eight years, so also for this reason, every time that I came back, I discover a little piece or one detail that, at the first time, I didn’t notice. Like you watch a movie for the second time.
I’m also thinking about a poem that a famous poet dedicated to her:-“Trieste has a petulant elegance. If you love it,it is like a bad boy, sour and voracious, with blue eyes and too big hands to give you a flower…” in these words I can live again the beauty and elegance of its streets , the shores and the cafè that used to be a meeting place of poets and writers, time ago. Yes because when you walk around some Trieste streets you can perceive that the city sweat of lived life. Looking at the buildings and the old harbour warehouse you can imagine that one time it swarmed with commerce and tourism. Today, the city is less dynamic compared with some time ago, however it remains an important North East reference point. If you decide to plan a visit there, I advise you to do it between April and October, because, in my opinion, the city offers the its best, during these months of the year .
